Cisco Multicloud Defense

Cisco Multicloud Defense protects all of your cloud environments using a single software-as-a-service (SaaS) control plane, eliminating inefficient, complex, and costly point solutions.

Panoptica's integration with Cisco Multicloud Defense enables you to gain visibility into your virtual gateways in Panoptica’s inventory. Displaying this information in Panoptica provides a better understand of where your resources are deployed, and which workloads are being protected.

Create API key

In order to integrate Cisco Multicloud Defense with Panoptica, you need to generate an API key in your Cisco Multicloud Defense dashboard.

  1. Navigate to Administration > Management > API Keys.
  1. Click Create API Key and complete the form. For the Panoptica integration, the admin_read-only role is sufficient.
  2. Once complete, Multicloud Defense will display the API Key ID and the API Key Secret in the Create window. Copy both values right away, and save them for the Panoptica configuration (below). Note that this is the only time the API Key Secret will appear.

See the Cisco Multicloud Defense user guide for details.
